Duty Officers, or DOFFS (not to be confused with Bridge officers/BOFFS) are the personnel on your ship that you delegate your crafting and away missions (doffs) to being on active combat (buffs) for ground and space.

by default, you have room for 100 duty officers, and they are split into 7 categories on your ship.

Current Map and Personal both list duty officer assignments that are available in your area. In Progress and Completed are pretty easy to understand. The Assignment Log lists assignments you've completed. Assignment Chains shows assignments that have different parts. You can complete the entire chain of these assignments for a special reward.

Because other than a couple ship build threads where players have needed clarification on a Doff or two, there is no good place that explains how to maximize the use of the precious 10 active Doff slots (5 Space, 5 Ground). This information is hard to find even on wiki sites. Items from the fleet holdings can seriously augment your ship and bridge officer/captain abilities. Below is a list of Bridge Officers, Duty Officers, Extra Slots and Traits you can buy from the fleet holdings. while there are only 5 space / ground slots to use up. who to use for what is a big part of this games customization. and they do some with information to help you chose what is best. For instance.. a Tactical officer can reduce cooldown’s for certain combat skills, while others such as the infamous Guammere is mostly used just for crafting.

DOFF Missions/Commendation Overview

On Assignment: currently on a duty officer mission
In Sickbay: duty officers injured during missions awaiting recovery for re-use
Open Slots: how many simultaneous missions you can do at the given time
In Progress: self explanatory
Complete: Doff missions currently completed and waiting to be collected via the duty officer tab / completed subtab

Now we venture into the progression of your duty officer’s earning you experience towards fields of expertise IE: COMMENDATION.

Catagorized as:

Diplomatic: one of the slowest reps to level, with fewest missions available at any given time, but has some of the best rewards with some being transwarp to location unlocks

Science: unlocking you green/blue/purple science duty officers (a priority if you are a science captian)

Engineering: unlocking engineering duty officers with each rank (these are extremely helpful if you are an engineering captian)

Tactical: unlocking a tactical doff with each rank, these are helpful for a tactical captian as they can be duty officers that augment your tactical abilities.

Exploration: this is the ultimate RP section and can end up netting you some nice resources as doff mission rewards

Slots

Espionage: we will call this tactical part 2

Medical: science part 2

Colonial: picking up and dropping off those annoying colonists basically

Trade: often rewarding money, items and gold-pressed latinum

Development: they should rename this to things to do in an officers free time

Recruitment: Trading Refugees for random bridge officers

Duty Officer Missions (Based on Location)

You can find different missions based on where you are located in the game as well as given options to do missions for certian reputations ie: Dyson Sphere Space / Space Undine Battlezone

Hello everyone,

Here’s a list of steps to take to get a Risian Kit [KPerf]x3 [Proc]

  1. Buy the Kit Frame in the Summer Store
  2. Put it in the upgrade window once (do not upgrade it) – this makes it re-engineerable
  3. Re-Engineer the 2 random mods (not [Proc]) to [KPerf]
    • you should now have Risian Kit [KPerf]x2 [Proc] (Very Rare)
  4. Upgrade the Kit Frame to UR/Epic
    • the UR Mod will always be [KPerf]
  5. Congrats, you now have a Risian Kit [KPerf]x3 [Proc]
